I met Julie and Lisa about 2 year ago and I knew right away that I wanted to photograph their beautiful wedding at La Navona! These two are just the sweetest couple and their style is serious #goals. I shot their engagement session at the Scioto Mile and they were all set to have their wedding in May of 2021 but like so many of us, Covid threw a wrench in their plans.

To make the most of it, not only did they elope on their original date but they also did something super special. They told me that they had one chance to try and get pregnant before their wedding and luck was on their side! They now have THE most adorable little girl named Ava whom I FINALLY got to meet.

The wedding day

I’m a sucker for a good wedding dress and at this wedding I got to shoot 2 of them! Julie and Lisa did an amazing job at choosing dresses that complemented each other without looking too similar. It was my first time at La Navona and it. was. Gorgeous! But the best part was, it was just as fun as it was beautiful!

Instead of bouquets, the members of the bridal party carried beer down the aisle! For the wedding of a former rugby player, I couldn’t think of anything better. My favorite part was probably the perverted sea shanty that the couple was serenaded with at the end of the night. I could barely hold my camera still I was laughing so hard! I looked it up later to show a friend and this is the closest I could find. Make sure to find some headphones before you play it out loud 😂
